Hi, I am Susie, an independent funeral celebrant based in East Sussex. I work with families to create a bestoke ceremony which honours your loved one and reflects the life they led. I will take time to find out about your person, what their passions were and their life story. I can guide you in planning a traditional funeral or a spiritually based service, a natural burial, a celebration of life, or a memorial ceremony. I will gently support you and listen to what matters to you. We can include storytelling, music, poetry, readings and any symbolic acts that bring comfort and uniqueness to the day. I will then create a personalised script for you to check over to ensure you are happy. On the day, I will conduct the service exactly as we have planned.

Creating Meaningful Ceremonies

Saying goodbye to a loved one is a very challenging and emotional time. I can support and guide you to create a unique service which honours their memory. I work as an independent celebrant and I also work closely with funeral directors.

How we will work together

Our First Meeting

After our conversation, I will draft a script for you to check over. This will be an emotional time and I am here to guide you so you can take the time to grieve and reflect.

On the Day

We can meet in person, on a video call or in a public place. I will gradually build a picture of the type of service you would like. I will work at your pace with sensitivity and kindness.

Throughout the process from our first meeting, I will be liaising with your funeral director to ensure everything is taken care of. You can be confident that I will deliver a ceremony that is unique and personal.
